Viking City Builder shows that indie games can also have amazing graphics

Real-time strategy games no longer have the glamor they once had, but they continue to have a respectable presence among PC gamers. Thus, it is often difficult for an indie game to stand out in the segment – even more being done by one person. That’s why Viking City Builder wants to draw attention for its graphics, bringing the first RTS, according to its developer, to offer ray tracing e DLSS 2.0.

Viking City Builder is made by a developer who signs just like Roslagen and that is working to bring graphics of a level that we are not used to seeing in real time strategy games, even more independent.

In terms of work, it reminds us a little of Bright Memory, which was also started by a single person aiming to bring a game with a strong emphasis on visuals, with ray tracing and things like that, even though it is indie. The project ended up being adopted to promote the Xbox Series X, so maybe Viking City Builder also shows the same potential.

The game already has a page on Steam, where it is described like this by its developer:

Loot, light fire and create a new village on the ashes of Europeans! Viking City Builder is a classic city-building game with elements of real-time strategy that allows players to experience the historic expansions of the Vikings era.

Viking City Builder does not yet have a release date or a set price, but it has already shown itself to be an ambitious project not only in the technical part of the graphics.

Roslagen promises that players will be able to build real-world structures, taken directly from “Viking history”. The player will have to manage his cities, determine tasks and professions for his villagers and guarantee an economy that can “survive” alone.

For those who are not keen on ray tracing or DLSS 2.0, Viking City Builder is not so demanding on the requirements to run:
