On Thursday afternoon, Sony released a video demonstrating how the PlayStation5 menus work. You can watch the video opposite.
The main menu of PlayStation 5 is called “control center”, and the goal here is to be able to get around the system menus without going completely out of the game. While playing, you can open the menu, and scroll down to watch all the news, screenshots and more.
A new feature is the Activities card which you will find in the menu. These will provide estimates of how long it will take to complete the game, and parts of the game. In addition, you will find hints in the form of, among other things, small videos that can point you in the right direction when you are stuck.
We also get to see some of the social functions, such as how to watch friends play other games if you are in a “party” with a single keystroke.
For more information on these features, and a demonstration of how they work in practice, watch the video above.
