This Saturday (17), the D-Day of the Campaign Against Polio is being held

This Saturday morning (17), more than 40 Health Units in the Municipality open their doors for D-Day vaccination against Polio.

The Campaign Against Polio in Cascavel is far from the goal of 95% recommended by the Ministry of Health, with only 16.02% of the small ones receiving the dose in the Municipality.

Given the data, the Department of Health reinforces the alert to parents to take advantage of this Saturday, D-Day Vaccination, to take the children and ensure this protection. All 43 health units in the municipality will be open from 8 am to 5 pm to provide this service, including in the countryside. In addition, the mobile unit that is parked on the Avenida Brasil promenade, in front of the Cathedral, in the Center of Cascavel, will also make calls.

The immunization against polio targets children from 12 months to under 5 years of age. This age group has more than 16.6 thousand children in Cascavel.

This Saturday, the Multivaccination Campaign will also be held, which aims to update the vaccination situation of children and adolescents under 15 years of age. In the Municipality, more than 6,500 doses of other vaccines and about 3,300 evaluations of vaccination portfolios were applied.

Both campaigns will end on October 30th.
