The transmission rate of the new coronavirus fell again in Belo Horizonte, according to the epidemiological bulletin released by the city hall on Tuesday (13). The average number of transmissions per infected person (Rt), which was 1.06 last Friday (9), has now increased to 1.02. This means that, at this moment, 100 infected pass the virus to 102 people, on average. Even so, the indicator is yellow, indicating an alert to the population.
Rt is one of the three Covid-19 monitoring indicators used by the city to make decisions regarding the reopening of economic activities. The other two indicators, referring to the occupation of beds reserved for patients with the disease, are under control. See the table:

The number of patients being followed up has also dropped considerably (that is, they have not yet been considered recovered). A week ago, on the 6th, there were 2,433 infected people still being treated in the capital of Minas Gerais, while on Tuesday the number dropped to 2,118.
The city has had 44,856 confirmed cases of the disease since March and 1,360 deaths from Covid.
