José Mourinho’s Tottenham thrashed Manchester United 6-1 this Sunday (see the film and all the goals of the match here), at Old Trafford, in the game of the fourth round of the Premier League.
Bruno Fernandes started at red devils, scored soon after two minutes, but was replaced at halftime at a time when his team was already losing 4-1.
Bruno Fernandes goal:
Moreover, it was the first time that United conceded four goals in the first half in the Premier League, in what was the 1079th game of the competition, according to OptaJoe.
Now, as almost always, the first luxury part of Tottenham (which did not have Gedson on the game sheet) was essentially designed by two men: Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane.
But first, it was Ndombélé who stood out, with a draw two minutes after Bruno Fernandes’ goal.
At seven minutes, Kane assisted Son to 2-1, and at half an hour the South Korean returned the assistance to the English international, this at a time when United already played reduced to ten units: Martial was sent off after attacking Erik Lamela.
Son and Kane’s goals:
Eight minutes into the interval, Son kissed and gave outlines of a thrashing to the result of José Mourinho’s commanders.
Bruno Fernandes was substituted at half-time and no longer participated in the humiliation of the group coached by Solskjaer, who still suffered two more goals.
Aurier made the fifth early in the second half, at 51 minutes, with Harry Kane, from the penalty spot making the final 6-1, in another glorious afternoon for José Mourinho – perhaps the best at Tottenham’s service.
With this result, spurs climb to fifth place in the Premier League with seven points. United is 16th, with just one win.
