PAt least three people were killed this Thursday morning during a knife attack in Nice, France. Two of the victims, a man and a woman, were killed inside the basilica of Our-Dame, in the city center. The other woman was seriously injured and managed to escape from the scene, eventually dying in a nearby cafe where she had taken refuge.

The first of the three victims is a woman in her 70s who was praying early in the morning. She was found with her throat cut, “almost beheaded”, near the sink Water church, assures a police source in Le Figaro.

French authorities identified the suspect in the attack as being Brahim Aouissaoui, a 21-year-old man with nationality Tunisian. The suspect was shot by the police and is in the custody of the authorities.
