Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, president of the World Health Organization (WHO), announced this Tuesday that the vaccine against Covid-19 should arrive by the end of 2020.

“We will need vaccines and there is hope that by the end of this year we will be able to have a vaccine,” Ghebreyesus said at a meeting of WHO executives.

The Covax program, led by the WHO and with the participation of 168 countries, now has nine experimental vaccines in preparation that will allow the distribution of two billion vaccines against Covid-19 by the end of 2021.
