We have more details on the Samsung Galaxy S21 / S30, but those waiting for ultra-revolutionary innovations may be disappointed. According to the usual source of industry secrets Ishan Agarwal and the 91Mobiles, it is likely that the Galaxy S30 Ultra can reuse a number of Galaxy S20 Ultra specifications and features.
Today’s information reiterates the details of the S30 Ultra that we saw in previous information leaks. This includes the 5,000 mAh battery, a 108 MP primary rear sensor and the 40MP selfie sensor that can be the same as the S20 Ultra. Previous renders suggest that the S30 series can feature a selfie design in a central hole.
The dimensions may also not change much. The Galaxy S30 Ultra measures 165.1 mm x 75.6 mm x 8.9 mm, with a camera curvature of 1.9 mm deep, according to the information. It is not much smaller than the 166.9 mm x 76 mm x 8.8 mm of the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
Galaxy S30 Ultra specifications: the same, but different?
However, not everything is copy-paste. we saw supposed Render of the Galaxy S30 Ultra and its two family members earlier this month, so we expect a redesigned camera set. The Ultra also features a 6.8-inch 2K AMOLED display – a small change from the 6.9-inch S20 Ultra.
In addition, we can expect that in the US it will come with the Snapdragon 875 and the supposed Exynos 2100 for use in almost all other markets. Bearing in mind that Samsung generally chooses the best and latest Snapdragon chipset for its Flagships, this conjecture seems highly likely. The Exynos 2100, although not officially announced, has been mentioned in previous leaks.
Finally, the S30 Ultra will also be based on Android 11 One UI 3.0. Samsung, of course, will launch FlagShip on the latest version of its Android skin.
There are still no details about the sensors that come with the S30 Ultra, the RAM or storage configurations or even the charging solution.
It may be a little early to suggest that the S30 Ultra or be an S20 Ultra with a new outfit. But taking into account the recent history, we would not be surprised if Samsung used some features of the old models.
