A few hours after beating Athletico Paranaense, the Corinthians squad re-introduced itself to CT Joaquim Grava this Thursday morning and has already started preparing to face Flamengo, next Sunday, at 4 pm, at Neo Química Arena, for the 17th round of the Brasileirão.
As usual after the games, only reserves and those who played for less than 45 minutes worked on the field. The holders performed the traditional regenerative procedure inside the training center.
The main novelty of the activity was the presence of the steering wheel Victor Cantillo, who was with the Colombian national team and missed Timão in his last commitments. The trend is that the player will be available to Vagner Mancini for the weekend’s confrontation – midfielder Otero, called up for the Venezuelan team, is expected in the coming days.
The coach already knows that he will not have Bruno Méndez and Ramiro, suspended, and may have the embezzlement of Jô, who was replaced with pain in his calf. On the other hand, Cássio must be listed again, as well as the gringos duo mentioned above.
With that, a probable lineup of Corinthians to face Flamengo has: Cassio; Fagner, Marllon, Gil and Lucas Piton; Xavier, Léo Natel, Éderson, Cantillo (Otero) and Mateus Vital; Boselli (Jo).
It should be noted that defender Raul Gustavo, who is still serving suspension, is also recovering from a minor ankle injury. He trained on the lawn under the supervision of physical therapists.
With the victory in the capital of Paraná, Corinthians reached 18 points and rose to 14th place in the Brasileirão.
