New information about the Mi 11, Xiaomi’s next top of the line forecast for the first quarter of 2021, surfaced on the Chinese social network Weibo this week. The leaks reinforce previous rumors that bet on a completely different look from the current Mi 10, in addition to the debut of the front camera under the screen on a company smartphone.

According to the website MySmartPrice, the Mi 11 should bet on a design with a slightly square frame, similar to the Mi 3, although the screen is curved. Rumors of July this year suggested that the display (image below) would be manufactured by Samsung with 2K resolution, Super AMOLED technology with 144 Hz update frequency.

In addition, the informants reinforced the presence of a frontal camera under the screen on the Mi 11, which would mark the technology debut on a Xiaomi smartphone. It is worth remembering that the company itself had already confirmed this year that it would include the novelty in its models after 2021.

The “new and unique design” mentioned by MySmartPrice, however, must be related to the back of the smartphone, which can bring a new camera module with a main sensor of 192 MP.

Powerful configurations

As expected, the future Mi 11 should be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 875 chipset, which will be launched on December 1st this year. The launch will be manufactured in Samsung’s 5 nanometer process and promises to deliver higher performance and lower power consumption when compared to the Snapdragon 865.

Like the previous generation, the Xiaomi Mi 11 may be introduced sometime in the first quarter of 2021, close to the launch of the Galaxy S21.

Although we have no more concrete information about Xiaomi’s new smartphone, it is very likely that we will have news about it in the coming months, during which time the Snapdragon 875 chip will be launched.
