The Department of Health notified 16 new deaths by covid-19 and 496 new cases in the Federal District, this Tuesday (11/24). The capital has recorded 3,898 deaths and 225,013 infected to date. According to the agency, 215,453 people recovered from the disease, which corresponds to 95.8% of those infected. The data for the last 24 hours are from the epidemiological bulletin released by the folder.

The deaths occurred between October 18 and November 23. Of these, nine were men and seven women. In addition, 15 had comorbidities, ten of whom had cardiovascular problems. Most people (10) were over 60 years old. One lived in the state of Goiás, while the others were residents of the Federal District.

People aged between 30 and 49 correspond to the highest rate of infected by covid-19 in DF. However, records show that deaths affect older people over 80 years of age more. Women are the most infected, 54.1%, while men are the ones who die the most; 57.9% of the 3,898 deaths.

The Ceilândia region has the highest number of people infected and deaths from the disease, with 27,116 cases and 707 deaths. Regarding positive cases, the Plano Piloto appears in second place, with 18,783. Next is Taguatinga, with 18,543 records, in addition to being the second region with the highest number of deaths (404).
