With the coronavirus pandemic, many people who worked on avenues full of office buildings moved in front of a screen. The home office, which started as an emergency medicine, has become a solution for many companies. Now, a new trend is emerging: the migration of work.

“We can hire people in Belo Horizonte, Brasília and Porto Alegre, that is, access to talent is now national and even global. We can search for people regardless of where they are ”, says economist and entrepreneur Ricardo Amorim.

When the pandemic came, a business school in São Paulo delivered the offices and the whole team went to the home office. Today, it has employees in various parts of the country and even the world.

“This greatly improves the quality of classes, because we have benchmarks from other countries. For example, we can talk about how the London economy works compared to Brazil, with those who live in London ”, explains the school’s director, Renata Bianchi.

Although it cut the cost of renting rooms, the company did not save money and turned the house of 110 employees into offices.

“Our employees use the internet paid for by us. So, we provide assistance so that they can have the light pulled, the internet pulled, all the support he had up to that point in the building, paid for by us, ”says Renata.

This reality was unthinkable until very recently. In Brazil, 8.6 million people are working from home, according to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).

But is the work not dull inside a room? Do people really put up with being at a computer screen all day? This is a controversial subject, but Renata found a way to overcome this challenge with artificial intelligence.

The company invested R $ 5 million in education platforms. To generate interest, artificial intelligence divides classes into 15-minute micro-steps and creates community groups, in addition to offering education that adapts to the profile of each student.

“We still leave the coffee time. We put in the breaks and the students can make coffee together, each one brings his own, in front of the computer ”, says the director.

“One of the things that I hope will be a consequence is that we have healthier working relationships. Firstly, employers trust their teams more, and secondly, workers are more responsible. And I think that this can be beneficial to everyone ”, says Ricardo.

Distance learning also increased the company’s revenue, as the market is now the world. The number of students has tripled and now there are more than three thousand. The goal is to reach 30 thousand in two years and productivity has already increased by 50%.
