The state of Mato Grosso do Sul has vaccinated, so far, about 193 thousand people against measles in the 20 to 49 age group, which corresponds to 16% of the target audience, which is 1.1 million people across the state. The national mobilization against measles ends this Friday (30).
Preliminary data from the state health departments indicate that, since the beginning of the action, on March 16, until October 29, 11.7 million people in this age group were vaccinated across the country, corresponding to 13% of the target audience.
The vaccination strategy, in partnership with states and municipalities, is part of the Ministry of Health’s efforts against the disease, to reach the goal of measles-free Brazil, in the context of the Vaccine Movement Brazil.
