Even after the 2% reduction in gasoline prices at Petrobras refineries, which went into effect last Thursday, consumers complain about the high prices paid for a liter of fuel at the gas stations. According to a survey by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), since last Sunday, the average price of gasoline in the Federal District was R $ 4,557. In this period, the lowest price recorded was R $ 4,289 and the highest, R $ 4,699. The survey was carried out at 47 gas stations.
Administrative assistant Bruno Costa, 30, says it has been increasingly difficult to keep the car fueled, even though it is a model considered economical. He is a resident of Riacho Fundo II and travels around 70km daily to get to and from work, in Plano Piloto. “Gasoline in Brasília is expensive in practically all regions. I supply a lot at the end of the Northern Terminal Sector (STN), in the Graphic Industry Sector and in Recanto das Emas, and the value is the same in all, ranging between R $ 4.49 and R $ 4.69. There is no great variety of prices ”, he said.
Bruno says he spends about R $ 400 a month on gasoline. He says that he has the impression that the stations are quick to pass on price increases, but they take time to readjust them when there is a drop in the value practiced in the refineries. “My route is practically just a straight line, but they are very long stretches and with a lot of traffic, which generates a high consumption. An important factor to note is that when there is a readjustment for price increases at refineries, for the consumer it is almost instantaneous, when it decreases, I realize that it takes up to three days to reach the pumps ”, he lamented.
However, the president of Sindicombustíveis, Paulo Tavares, says that the posts have not passed on all the readjustments made by Petrobras recently. It is worth remembering that in the last week of November, the state-owned company announced a 4% increase in the price of gasoline at refineries and a 5% increase in diesel.
“On November 12, there was an increase in Petrobras and, on the 20th, a second increase. These two increases generated an increase of R $ 0.17 in the price of a liter of gasoline. Yesterday, there was a fall of R $ 0.02. That is, in the last three weeks, there was an increase of R $ 0.15. However, the average price charged in Brasília for the service stations was around R $ 4.64, it went down to R $ 4.59 and then went to R $ 4.68 ”, he says. According to the ANP, the average value in the first week of November was R $ 4,441; the following week, R $ 4.459. Between November 22 and 28, however, the average price jumped to R $ 4.584, the highest value of the month.
In refineries, in the accumulated result for the year, the 39 adjustments made by Petrobras point to a decrease of 11.4% in the price of gasoline. There were 21 decreases and 18 increases. According to the Act Cotepe, of the National Council for Farm Policy (Confaz), published in the Federal Official Gazette on November 25, the price adopted by the posts as of December 1 was R $ 4,589.
