Vitória agreed to transfer central defender Edmond Tapsoba to Bayer Leverkusen. The international for Burkina Faso is already in Germany, in the company of his manager, Deco, and will sign a contract after completing medical examinations.
The transfer will yield at least 18 million euros to the SAD do Vitória coffers. The real value of the agreement between the two clubs is still unknown. Bayer Leverkusen intended to pay 18 million euros, plus two for goals. The Victorian SAD sought to receive 20 million euros, immediately, for the exit of its main asset.
Leicester was also in negotiations with Vitória to guarantee the hiring of Tapsoba. However, the agreement became unfeasible from the moment the English club came up against the rules of the Premier League and was unable, in a short time, to obtain a work permit for the player.
