Neto says Corinthians was “stolen” and blames Cassio for elimination

For Neto, Corinthians was ‘stolen’ in the victory over Guaraní, of Paraguay, by 2 to 1, which eliminated the black-and-white in the preliminary phase of the Libertadores. Questioning both the expulsion of Pedrinho and the foul that led to the Paraguayan goal, the host of Os Donos da Bola also blamed goalkeeper Cássio for the team’s fall in the South American competition.

“Corinthians was stolen. They got their hands on Corinthians. Did Corinthians play badly in the first half? They scored 2-0 when they were with ten players. Pedrinho was not to be sent off. Gil did not exist (…) goal, which was a chicken from Cássio, was not a fault “, fired the former player at the opening of today’s program.

“Where did the fault exist? It was the attacker’s fault, who kicks Gil’s leg and throws himself. Gil does nothing. They stole Corinthians. They took Corinthians away from Libertadores,” he added.

Regarding the expulsion of Pedrinho, Neto stated that the attacking midfielder was’ childish ‘, but not responsible for Corinthians’ elimination. This post, according to the presenter, belongs to goalkeeper Cássio.

“Was he (Pedrinho) childish in giving the bike? Was it childish. Did he harm Corinthians? Did he harm. (…) It was not to expel the boy”, said the black idol, who followed:

“Pedrinho, you were wrong. May this be a lesson for you. But Corinthians didn’t lose because of you. For me, it lost because of Cássio, who took a chicken”.

Outside the Libertadores, Corinthians is preparing to face São Paulo, this Saturday, at 19h, for the sixth round of the Paulista Championship.
