The video, which was filmed by a passenger at Sendai Airport on 11 March 2011, has only just been released by the ANN television station, according to the Daily Mail, and it is a rare testimony of the first moments of a tragedy that caused more than 18 thousand fatalities.

In the images it is possible to see how people try to protect themselves inside the airport during the violent earthquake and then find themselves trapped by the flood formed by the tsunami.

It is recalled that on 11 March 2011, a magnitude 9 earthquake on the scale of Ritcher and the ensuing tsunami devastated northeast Japan, killed more than 18,000 people, and caused serious damage to the Fukushima Daiichi, triggered the worst nuclear crisis since Chernobyl, at UcrTheniain 1986.
