The daily number of new cases remains over 400 for the second day in a row, being among the highest since the epidemic began. 460 cases were registered on Thursday.
186 patients are currently being admitted to intensive care.
Of the people confirmed positive, 18,181 were declared cured and discharged, and 5,937 cases are currently active.

To date, on June 26, in Romania, 25,697 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 18,181 were declared cured and discharged.

To date, 1,579 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
Between 25.06.2020 (10:00) – 26.06.2020 (10:00) were registered 14 deaths (7 men and 7 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Argeș, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Constanța, Gorj, Ilfov and Vrancea.
Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the age group 50-59 years, 3 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 7 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 2 deaths in people over 80 years.
All deaths are from patients who have experienced comorbidities.
Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 411 new cases of illness have been registered.
At the moment, 186 patients are hospitalized at ATI.
On the Romanian territory, there are 1,121 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 73,992 people are in solitary confinement at home and are under medical supervision.
To date, 675,382 tests have been processed at national level.
In the last 24 hours, 407 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 962 on the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures for preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 468 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 179,850 lei.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, a crime was found yesterday to thwart the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.
At the same time, on June 25 a.c., 174 persons who did not comply with the measure of home isolation or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or the measure of institutionalized quarantine was ordered for a new period of 14 days.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 4,793 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,885 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 107 in France, 2,075 in Germany, 97 in the United Kingdom, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 6 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus and one each in Argentina, Tunisia , Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, India, Bulgaria and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 115 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 7 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, they died.
Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 72 were declared cured: 50 in Germany, 10 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
