The LEGO Group today unveiled the entire LEGO® Super Mario ™ experience portfolio. After the first sets were revealed in April, fans are now introduced to all Expansion Sets, Collectible Character Packs and Power-Up Packs. The result of a unique partnership with Nintendo, LEGO Super Mario will reinvent the way fans interact with Super Mario in the physical world. The products announced today give the possibility to build Mario’s house, discover Toad’s hidden treasures and face the Koopa Troopa in the Guarded Fortress. And that’s not all!
The announced partnership was announced in March and in April “Adventures with Mario – Initial Pack” was presented, with two more Expansion Sets. The Starter Pack is the key to unlocking the game and play, being the only one that contains the LEGO® Mario ™ interactive figure that collects coins in game levels created with LEGO bricks. LEGO Super Mario brings a new interactivity and gameplay associated with the traditional LEGO experience.
All sets come with their unique challenges and characters that fans can play with or play against friends. Adding to the Expansion Set – Piranha Plant Power Slide and Expansion Set – Battle at Bowser Castle, announced in April, the range of Expansion Sets will include: the Expansion Set – Guarded Fortress, the Expansion Set – Hunting to Toad’s Treasure, the Expansion Set – The Desert Catubola, the Expansion Set – Granite Lava Problems and the Expansion Set – Balanche Bills Avalanche.
Also announced were the ten figures of collectible enemies, available in closed bags, the Character Packs. Each pack contains a character to build and play, which can be: Paragoomba, Carracita, Piquinhos, Beetle, Bullet Bill, Bob-Bomb, Flee Cheep, Blooper, Hedgehog or the Ghost!
Each Expansion Set and collectible Character Pack is made to be used with the Starter Pack – Adventures with Mario, to fully enjoy the experience. The entry set has seven action pieces for different interactions with the LEGO Super Mario figure, which has LCD screens on the eyes, mouth and belly to instantly show your reactions to movement, color and action pieces. In May, the LEGO Group also presented the Power Up Packs – including Mario Gato and Mario Construtor – that give a new boost to the game, with a variety of costumes for LEGO Mario, each revealing new skills and powers.

Fans will also love the free LEGO Super Mario app, created by the LEGO Group, a support to improve the physical experience. It counts the results to encourage continuous reconstruction, also providing digital instructions with zoom and image rotation to facilitate the construction, suggestions for new creative ways to build and play and a safe forum to share ideas with friends.
