Coronavirus: ICU occupancy rate in ES reaches 80.45%


The bed occupancy rate in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for the treatment of patients with coronavirus in Espírito Santo reduced and reached 80.45%. According to the Covid-19 Panel, a State Health Secretariat (Sesa), there are 670 beds in state hospitals and 539 are in use.

The percentage recorded by Sesa this Tuesday approaches the lowest rate recorded in June. On the last 23rd, according to the Covid-19 Panel, the index was at 80.34%, only 0.11 percentage points below the rate shown in the last update.

The percentage of wards occupied this Tuesday (30), according to Sesa, reached 69.86% this Tuesday (30). There are 730 nursing beds to treat people who have contracted Covid-19 and 510 are being used. The total number of beds, totaling ICUs and wards, is 1400, of which 1049 are occupied. This represents a percentage of 74.93% of use.

The Northern Region of Espírito Santo recorded the highest ICU occupancy rate in the state, according to Sesa. There are 78 existing beds and 65 are occupied, a percentage of 83.33%. The Metropolitan Region has 82.95% of occupied ICU beds: 481 beds are available and 399 are in use.

The Central Region recorded, according to Sesa, 67.65% of occupied ICUs, with 34 existing beds and 23 occupied. The Southern Region of the State has 77 ICU beds and 52 are in use, a percentage of 67.53% of use.
