The Municipality of Araguatins, through the Municipal Secretariat of Health and Municipal Health Surveillance, informs that as of this Thursday, March 26, it will publish daily on the official website of the municipality, the municipal monitoring report of the new coronavirus, following the guidelines of the State Health Surveillance and in line with the protocol of the Ministry of Health, for COVID-19.
“We emphasize that, to date, there are no confirmed cases of the disease in the municipality. The municipal management, through the Health Surveillance team, is acting in constant monitoring and investigating all people coming from locations where the transmission of the COVID-19 virus is occurring, and subjecting them to home isolation, as well as their contacts , as provided for in Ordinance No. 356, 2020 of the Ministry of Health, as well as municipal decree 068/2020 ”, the Health Secretariat says in a note.
In this sense, the Municipal Health Surveillance has been monitoring until this Wednesday, March 25th, 37 people with a history of travel outside the municipal territory (countries, states and cities), of these, 04 are under investigation as suspected cases, obeying to the new criterion of the Ministry of Health, and no deaths related to COVID-19.
Still on the protocol of the Ministry of Health, it is important to note that suspected and confirmed cases that present mild or moderate degree should be treated in home isolation. Hospitalization in the referred units will only be recommended in severe cases of Respiratory Syndrome.
