The actor J.K. Simmons, supporting actor Oscar winner in 2015 for Whiplash, will make a special appearance in this week’s episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine (via EW).
Veteran of Law & Order, Simmons will appear in the police comedy as Detective Dillman, former colleague of Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) in the New York police. The detective is there to help the captain find out who set up a prank that went very wrong at the police station. See below a preview of the episode:
Simmons joins a growing list of special guests, which includes Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sean Austin and Nicole Byer, among others.
The chapter will air this Thursday, March 26th, In the USA. In Brazil, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is transmitted over the paid channel TNT Series and is also available on Netflix.
Starring Andy Samberg, Joe Lo Truglio, Dirk Blocker, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Andre Braugher, Joel McKinnon Miller, the series shows the day-to-day life of the 99th Brooklyn Police Station. Production was previously canceled by Fox, but was saved by NBC after a big fan campaign on social media.
