The panel is now available in searches and has WHO guidelines for symptoms, prevention and treatment
Google announced last Friday, the 20th, the creation of an alert with information about COVID-19 on its search page. The panel, called SOS Alert, appears in the search for “coronavirus” and “COVID-19”, and is in the right corner of the screen.
The alert has a red highlight that directs the user to links and tabs on prevention, symptoms and treatments. The company stated that the recurrence of coronavirus research was one of the indicators for the creation of the tool, which was developed with guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO).
The panel is similar to the one aired during the zika virus epidemic in Brazil, in 2016, and is available for desktop and mobile. Google also reported that a team works 24 hours a day to update the information shown in the SOS Alert.
