The Municipality of Vinhedo will resume on Thursday, 26, the National Vaccination Campaign against influenza. The municipality received an additional 3,000 doses to immunize the elderly aged 60 or over. The administration reinforces that the entire target audience will be vaccinated, according to the established schedule, until May 22.
“The first day of vaccination was in high demand by the elderly population, so much so that the doses were exhausted in a few hours. The municipality immediately informed the State and this Thursday we will continue the immunization in alternative places to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus ”, highlighted Mayor Jaime Cruz.
The first group to be immunized is the elderly aged 60 and over and health workers. In the second stage, starting on April 16, teachers, patients with chronic non-communicable diseases and other special clinical conditions will be immunized, as well as professionals from the Security and Rescue Forces. It is important to take the vaccination booklet to check for any delays in other vaccines on the calendar.
It is necessary to avoid crowding in these places, so there is no need to go to the health units in the first days of vaccination for fear of not receiving the dose.
Vaccines are available for application according to the dates described above, Monday through Friday, at the following locations and times:
UBS Planalto – E.E. Patriarch of Independence – 8 am to 4 pm
UBS Vila João XXIII – Commercial establishment in front of the health unit (marmitaria) – 8 am to 4 pm
