Porto Alegre City Hall confirms the first cures to Covid-19


After reporting the first victim of the new coronavirus in Porto Alegre, the city confirmed the first cures for Covid-19.

According to the Porto Alegre City Hall, seven men (aged 18, 28, 31, 35, 38, 44 and 68 years old) and one woman aged 35. The number corresponds to 10% of confirmed cases.

“It’s always good to be able to announce someone’s healing, but that doesn’t mean we can relax in care. On the contrary, the important thing is that people remain at home, leaving only for the essentials ”, reinforces Marchezan.

The head of the Health Department of the Capital, Pablo Stürmer, emphasizes the importance of social detachment and restrictive measures adopted by the City of Porto Alegre to reduce the circulation of the virus and the spread of Covid-19 among the population.

“We reiterate the importance of people staying at home, leaving only for essential activities”, says the manager.

Stürmer also stresses that people who have symptoms of worsening clinical condition should seek medical attention.

“With shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing, the indication is to attend one of the four emergency rooms or to UPA Moacyr Scliar, in the North Zone”, the city said.
