Portugal recorded, this Saturday, its third worst day in terms of deaths due to Covid-19. There were, again, 293 victims in just 24 hours, numbers that demand more stringent measures.
This is what happens today, with the country’s borders closed since midnight on Sunday. Thus, travel outside the mainland by any means of transport is limited, with the exception of air connections to the autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira, as well as in cases related to work, homecoming, transport of mail and goods and humanitarian and emergency purposes.
In the next 15 days, the remaining restrictions related to trade, catering and circulation between municipalities are still maintained. Schools and day care centers are also closed, with distance learning returning on 8 February.
