Brazil records 1,279 deaths from Covid-19 in 24 hours


The accumulated number of infected people has increased from 9 million since the beginning of the pandemic

Brasilia. This Saturday (30), the Ministry of Health released new figures on the covid-19 pandemic in the country. According to a daily survey carried out by the ministry, Brazil has 9,176,975 confirmed cases of the disease and 223,945 deaths registered. The recovered cases total 7,998,246.

In the past 24 hours, the ministry has registered 58,462 new cases and 1,279 deaths.

The Southeast Region has the highest number of accumulated cases since the beginning of the pandemic, with 3,316,752 cases and 103,523 deaths. Next are the Northeast (2,167,534 cases 51,435 deaths), South (1,669,754 cases and 27,001 deaths), North (1,019,999 cases and 22,020 deaths) and Midwest (1,002,936 cases and 19,966 deaths) regions.

According to the Ministry of Health, 954,784 cases are being monitored.
