Freezer breaks and hospital hastens vaccinates the elderly in the US

After a refrigerator at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle (USA), with more than 1,300 doses of Moderna’s vaccine breaking down, the use of Covid-19 immunizers was rushed between 7:00 am on Thursday (28) and 3:30 am on Friday (29).

The alert was shared by the Swedish Medical Center’s social networks, which called for people from groups 1A and 1B to be vaccinated against Covid-19 in the United States.

Phase 1A includes elderly residents of nursing homes and health professionals. Phase 1B includes people over 75 and frontline workers of essential services.

There were 20 hours of uninterrupted vaccination, which counted 150 volunteers. The operation took place while the medicine could be thawed, that is, before it spoiled.
