The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ), complained this Saturday (30th) of attacks against banners installed in favor of candidate Baleia Rossi (MDB-SP) in Brasília.
“They destroyed the support bands for Baleia Rossi at Esplanada dos Ministérios. This has a name: fascism. And it is against this type of attitude and people that we are united. If the bolsonaristas are so confident with the victory of the Bolsonaro candidate, why do they act like that? ”, Wrote Maia on social networks.
Rossi also used Twitter to comment on the episode, which he called “vandalism against democracy”. “They destroyed our campaign banners. Everything dawned torn. The opponent’s are intact. Those who defend the independence of the Chamber will not remain silent. They are vandals. They trample democracy, tear the Constitution and do not amend themselves ”, said the candidate.
The episode takes place in the final stretch of the election for the Board of Directors, scheduled for next Monday (1st). In addition to Rossi, candidates for the presidency of the Chamber are: Arthur Lira (PP-AL), Alexandre Frota (PSDB-SP), André Janones (Avante-MG), General Peternelli (PSL-SP), Luiza Erundina (PSOL-SP) and Marcel Van Hattem (Novo-RS).
