The free streaming platforms Samsung TV Plus and Pluto TV increased their programming menus for the Brazilian audience this week. Each of them launched three new channels.

Samsung’s streaming app, exclusive to the brand’s TVs, added Record News, Runtime and Qwest TV Jazz & Beyond. Although Record News addresses a national news gap, the highlight is Qwest TV, a music channel curated by jazzman Quincy Jones and offering a variety of shows and programs featuring classic jazz, blues, soul and funk artists. Runtime, on the other hand, joins other free movie channels, such as MyTime Movie Network and the one that specializes in fantastic Dark Matter productions.

Pluto TV, which belongs to ViacomCBS, offers as a novelty the Filmes Suspense, Vida Real and Tastemade channels. The first one is what the name indicates, while the second one brings content on everyday topics, such as programs on medicine and border guard, for example. Finally, the Tastemade channel offers cooking and travel productions – and was already available on Samsung TV Plus.
