Kristian Fardal Opseth (31) is on his way back to the Eliteserien after terminating his contract with his Indian club, VG is informed.
The striker who took Bodø / Glimt by storm in the 2017 and 2018 seasons, is approaching a surprising return to Norwegian football.
According to VG’s information, Opseth’s contract with the Indian club Bengaluru has been terminated by mutual agreement – despite the fact that there were three months left of it.

Now he is returning home: Given that the medical test is going as it should, Opseth will sign for Sarpsborg 08, according to VG’s information.
It can potentially be a significant reinforcement for the Østfold club: The striker scored 38 goals in two seasons in the Obosligaen and Eliteserien in 2017 and 2018.

He was sold from Glimt to Turkish Erzurumspor in January 2018, but scored only one goal in 12 games there. Then he was sold on to Adelaide United in Australia, where he scored six goals in 21 games.
In the Indian Super League, he is listed with one goal in 16 games for Bengaluru.
