Libertadores 2021 will start soon, next February 24 with the first phase games, known in Brazil as pre-Libertadores, but not all places for this season’s competition are filled.
Due to the hectic schedule due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so far, 37 teams qualified for the tournament scheduled to start on February 17th. The most recent team to enter the list is Liverpool, from Uruguay, who will play the first phase of the competition.
Fifth place in the overall classification of the Uruguayan Championship, the team took the place allocated to “Uruguay 4” in Libertadores and will face Universidad Católica, from Ecuador. The winner of this match will still face Libertad, from Paraguay, in the second stage of the South American competition.
