For the first time in this edition of the League a player participated in his team’s four goals. Author of the feat: Lucas Piazon, winter reinforcer who found a safe haven in Braga after a career punctuated by successive loans.
The Brazilian striker sowed misery in the defense of Tondela with two goals and two assists for the submissions of Ricardo Horta and João Novais – the midfielder even scored one of the goals of round 20, in a fantastic shot, from a distance, that beat Trigueira.
Piazon’s numbers in the last four league games are impressive. Before the sublime performance against Tondela, he had two assists in the draw with FC Porto, on the 18th round. Controversial and dramatic game, with SC Braga nullifying two goals in the final moments. Finally, in the round before the reception of the dragons, he scored in the 2-1 victory of SC Braga over Portimonense, in another tough match.
