In the last 24 hours, the country has registered 548 deaths and 8,489 new cases.
Between February 17 and 23, there was a 28.4% reduction in covid-19 deaths and an 11.8% reduction in the number of people with a confirmed positive test result compared to the previous seven days.
The average of the last semester is 444 deaths and 10,881 infections.
In total, 121,305 people died in the UK out of 4,134,639 confirmed contagious cases since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic, but the balance rises to 135,613 deaths if the cases whose death certificates refer to the new coronavirus are added as a contributory factor .
So far, 17,916,181 people have received the first dose of a vaccine against the new coronavirus, of which 642,788 have received a second dose, which is administered up to 12 weeks apart.
